You have one wish to use conditionally with "I hate that. I wish it would go away!" What is that?

Having decided and comfortable sharing who would benefit . . . you certainly, yet will there be others? Who? How would 'that' being gone be beneficial? What impact will it have?

Cancer. I wish it was that simple to just say, I hate you and go away to cancer. We would all benefit from the beast disappearing, never to be heard of again. Yet, as we all know that will not happen because the medical industry will be bankrupt. There is too much money to be made from cancer. While doctors do their best to fight it and people do their best to prevent it, cancer has a way of finding a way to win, actually thinking that it won. While it does take away our loved ones, the ones remaining still stand up and fight and that will never end. Ever. Great question, Tim!

Sorry, Linda, but money will always be made in the medical industry, and not just from cancer. While I too wish there were a cure for cancer, there are still plenty of other diseases, injuries, and conditions that keep medicine lucrative.

That wish I will join you Linda!! And, for the many reasons you shared as well as there are so many others too. I lost my dad to cancer and others I knew. I wish cancer would go away . . .

Today? Guns. All of them. Gone.

The reason should be obvious if you've checked today's news.

Expand that to include ALL weapons. Their only purpose is to kill.

I emphatically agree as you pointed out with today's sad news sad It seems to be a quandary while that one wish would solve the problem smile

I hate pain and I wish it would go away. All kinds of pain - physical and psychological. We seem to be born screaming and the pain of just living our lives seems to come and go for our entire lives.
It's why so many people drink, do drugs, or just plain kill themselves. Constant pain is sometimes too hard to bear.

I agree with pain while also include emotional. The tie that both activate the same brain centers offers much to consider with the experience of pain. I find it interesting your comment we are "born screaming". Gives cause to ponder.

My one wish would be that ten years ago when I lost the ability to walk...and spent 2 years  undergoing test after test, without answers...and " told " this was the best it would ever be..
Unacceptable to me..as I had just retired from 38 years in the Medical profession.. and questions needed to be answered...so I set out on a mission..what did I have to loose ?
I should have taken charge sooner..I spent the next five years researching every venue and pushing myself beyond limits...and eventually walking with a walker, swimming, becoming independent... then in Spring of 2015, rec'd a misdiagnosis in an ER only to undergo surgery on my left leg ( bones were crushed in Ankle/foot.. and now 6 months later cast was removed and foot is clubbed and I am in a wheelchair, awaiting a leg brace....still doctors are scratching their heads. Wishing ALL this would go away !!!
I guess " Whatever I'm Still Here "...living every day with the  " Quirks "
    interesting question tsmog

Hatred, and the irrational fear it usually stems from.

Without hatred, you wouldn't have so much gun violence, so many suicides, so many wars.

Is anger a byproduct of fear? Or is fear a byproduct of anger. Both are scary.

I wish people would mind their own business at work and stop medaling into mine, especially when it does not affect their own work. I hate those that cause trouble and act like they are above us. That would be my wish.

A lie. I hate when people lie, which often turns out a liar is prone to steal, stealing/robbery is often associated with murder...
