My Aspiration

Stillness at sunset.

No peace in my heart

Stark reminders of what I miss.

Space of warmth and causeless joy.

Fire of angels, a playful kiss.

I see you when I close my eyes.

And feel your breath against my skin

Take me home inside your heart.

And forever hold me in your wings.

My thread of gold.

Sees storms and shadows.

Tear me open and let me die.

Spinning tunnells, abyss in darkness,

Dare I brave my heart to try.

Closed and chained

I can bear no more.

I grasp for where I used to lie.

Make the tunnells gold with light

And lead me back to your side.

I see you when I close my eyes.

And feel your breath against my skin

Take me home inside your heart.

And forever hold me in your wings.

VioletSun, I can still draw tears reading this piece even though I wrote it!

gt and Cris, thanks for popping in.  I'm a hopeless melancholic romantic under this hard exterior.

I love it. It's melancholy, yes, but soothing at the same time because of the beats and sounds in each line. This is a great soft read a loud.

What beautiful words you have wrought. Elegant and full of passion and fire; those things you miss, and lead me back to your side. so poignant. thanks

nice one yaar!

you wrote it on your own or you copied it from some where else. if you had written it manually then it is really a great way of explanation.

feel free to comment me back so that i can also do the same for you too

Thanks for visiting swathin2. It's definitely my own piece and was written while I was doing meditation practices.

I liked this. I write poetry myself, but yours got more play. I only posted one here, about taking a walk with Edgar Allen Poe, and it got the fewest reads of anything I've written. The response here encourages me. Maybe I'll drop in another one.
