Any Rhetoric experts out there?  I'm writing a paper for a Literature class but am creating a paper that includes a reference to argumentation.

    Is this a Deductive Argument:

To work alone is dangerous, because Satan is a threat when we are apart.

    Thanks!

Rhetoric is the art of discourse, the ability to use language effectively and persuasively. The argumentation aspect involves the three emotions of Ethos, Pathos and Logos.
Ethos relates to the character of the speaker. Pathos adds an emotional element to the argument while Logos applies logic and reason.
Rhetorical argumentation involves ethos, pathos and logos or, can it be said to be rhetorical argumentation without the involvement of ethos, pathos and logos?

thanks, but that doesn't answer the question?

anyway, I went a different direction with the paper and didn't need to name the style of argument.
