I remember the scent of her lotion and the feel of hands after all this time I remember the curve of her forearm the way it lay upon mineOnce I dipped my finger across the little jarand then touched her on the shoulderbending over for a scent her neckand becoming a little bolderI remember how she looked up from dressingand her eye's began to smilewe never made it to the dance that night yet we waltzed just as well for awhileWhat is it about the touch of a womanwhat is it about her scentMaybe just maybe it will last forever though forever has come and went
You could put this poem to music on your dobro or slide guitar! And turn these poetic words into lyrics!( Record on cassette player. ) This verse would be a great chorus:" What is it about the touch of a woman? What is it about her scent? Maybe, just maybe, it will last forever ... Though forever has come and went." and I love the title: "Hand Lotion"

Hi Phyllis , yes old memories , hey where would we be without those ?
