    You never were about anything

    an ill fated fantasy

    some ideal soaked in naivety

    concocted by my mind

    in love so blind

    you took it all

    and still asking for more

    but I'm the whore?

    eyes wide shut?

    not me. no more.

    gathering my wits and senses

seeing you without the rose colored lenses

all knowing with my well being

    you never were about anything.

Yes, be careful what you wish for, you might get it! So the saying goes and fantasy is always better before it becomes polluted with reality. We are only hurt by those that we love and so that is the risk we take when we attempt to make those fantasies reality, yet if we never took the chance we never would have known love, you simply can not have pleasure without pain, so relish your hurt, embrace it, feel it in the depths of your soul and when you're ready you'll love even harder the next time knowing that the pain could never be worse than what you've felt already. Good luck!

Sounds like words from experience of a broken heart. The emotion hits you in the face----and that is a positive thing because the readers can feel your pain.
