Standing in the cool shadows of stone
and thinking of all of my hauntings.
I find after I've meditated for
so long... along comes a new wanting.
I cannot spend such time alone without
becoming one with days of the past.
Months...years...and decades go by
from older memories and into my last.
Yours especially my brother though long lost
here on earth... still fill my wayward heart.
Guessing as long as you do then my soul
still tries to do it's part.
Do I think of you too often ...who knows
I'll let God fill me in one day .
But for now I'll dream of older times
and watch you ...and our memories play.
One day if all is as written we'll
walk together again in a new place.
Then and only then ...perhaps your ghost
will rest ....after our souls embrace.
I miss you Dougie.
Poems can be hub posts, too.
This one might be something that would help people who are searching for a way to put their grief into words-- and to let them know they are not alone in their struggle.
This was very moving. Even though I never had a brother, I can identify with the feeling of losing someone close to me.
I loved you "wonders" poem as well--- include a comments capsule in your hubs and you will find a lot of people who will express appreciation.
This is simply beautiful, and so moving. Echoes with me, and I'm sure with so many more.

Why do ladies cut their hair so short as they age?I've noticed I almost never see a woman over 60 with long hair, even when they look like they are in great shape and wouldn't have trouble keeping it up. Why is this? Is this the average or just what I have been seeing?

I was born and raised in one area and then after getting married have lived most of my life far away from my siblings. It has been hard to keep the relationship going, although it really was never that close to begin with - how about yours?
