Greetings surfeitt, it's always good to meet a follow poet, even though i'm not your typical poet, i'm more on the dark side of poetry, if any of whom who commented on this page is interested stop by, if you dare, hahahaha...........
Hi I have submitted several poems to the Hub Pages the last two months. Unfortunately, my soulmate passed on June 13, 2010, so my recent poems have been to him. Hope to gain more followers. I also write on other topics.
Hello Surfitt, my name is Tracy711....my hubpages contain a few poems and some recipes too if you like cooking..I love poetry and plan on writing alot more..however I have to wait until I'm inspired to write so sometimes it takes me a few weeks or months before I put in a new one...you are welcome to come on over and read them and please leave a comment on your thoughts of my poems...God bless you )
Im still kind of new to Hubpages but i've published 3 poems so far. Just completed another and have more to come. I write about love, sorry, sex, and my own personal experiences. Please read and support and i promise to do the same. God bless
Poet here! Well, at least I indulge such a grandiose hope. I have published a couple or few poems here, and may post more. It's a bit of a challenge, though, given the minimum word requirement for a hub. That - and HP doesn't like it much when you post here what you've published elsewhere online. Eh... Anyway - thought I'd chime in and say hello.
Thank you for this great thread. I consider it an honor to write poetry on HP and I hope to get to know those of you I don't yet follow. I left this comment once on a poem hub: "Poetry is the ability to fashion a door that will allow entrance from soul to soul, from insight to understanding. It is the distillation of a sunset, a child, a perfect rose, a broken heart into the alchemy of words that purer than a potent drug, pour directly into the blood and the rush changes you forever. A poet is a conjurer of whom you must beware, but if he or she wills it, can drop the scales from your eyes and put a surge of life into your heart. No one chooses to be a poet, life chooses them and we who are fortunate enough to see the meeting of their storms and fire often experience the rainbow." Thanks again. =
Hello fellow poets... I am feeling the flow coming back and it is wonderful. I have been drained lately and not writing much. Today is a new day and it is the day we celebrate the birth of My Lord...God is good and I am blessed in so many ways. I'll look forward to reading your poems and getting feedback on mine! Peace...Becky Jo
It is nice to see your work and your poetry. Welcome to Hubpages! I write a little poetry. I must say that a lot of people could learn to write poetry from you. Your poetry is that good and in my mind is classical example of good poetry.
what makes a poem, a poem? people tell me occasionaly I write good poetry, and I have never once tried to write a poem, outside of school. I got D- or F in english, they said I was doing it wrong. Not following "the rules" so...maybe Im a poet? I dont think so really. maybe...
I am a poet of sorts. I write when the mood strikes. like right now. what a long day it's been. I look to the summers of youth, and freedom. the days of little green apples.so tart on the tongue yet hard on the backside. forbidden fruit of grandmas rule. A slickerd salt shacker, and pine hangin low. a retreat for the youngmans sole. so long it's been. to return.. a dream. such a simple thing. little green apples to ease my days.
You'd best check out my poetry while you have a chance. it's Saturday night--a weekend night--and I have just had my first hub--Poetic License--checked. The ads were disabled. I am not sure why but it happened. I was not aware that HP was making enough money to pay people to work on the weekends. Wow! I guess you people with affiliate accounts must be getting a nice percentage, too! I hope nothing else happens. I am not trying to cause trouble. I have not even been flagged once yet, for the record and I am told that no one gets shut down for just ONE mistake so hopefully everything will be okay! I enjoy having another outlet here!
I am no expert but I think your hubscore or whatever has to be over 75 or something before ads appear - your low score, if you only have one hub, would indicate that you don't have enough words in your hub or something, try putting in a few pics and expanding the writing a bit maybe.
Greetings. I joined HubPages today. And I put up seven poems of mine in three hubs. Hope that you will get to see them, read them and enjoy them. The poems were written long ago, when I was in my teens.
I use poetry to express difficult emotions, but I wouldn't call myself a poet, though I totally enjoy the true poets here on Hubpages. I'm glad you started this thread, finding a long list of hubbers to check out.
I'm gradually posting all the poems I can find from my adolecence to more currently. Some got kinda dark, but I was a teen and going through difficult times in my life. I still write when I can't find other means of self expression. Will slowly and surely be checking out some of everybody else's work -t
I have written many poems, but I have none posted here yet on a hub! sorry. But I do have a hub about writing poetry. Within the month I hope to get some of my work on here. Slow progress...like any writer!
Last night, or early this morning, I posted a hub called "Poetry Resource". On it I list some great web-sites that list Poetry contests and such.
I am not meaning to be overly promotional, but after reading some of the poetry of people that have listed here, I thought some might like to submit their work in a professional literary journal. Just saying!
Let me know if anyone submits anything, I'll be your cheerleader. I did to the Arvon Foundation.
We all know the well known poets on here. What I want to know is who is YOUR favorite lesser known poet that needs some recognition? Here are a couple of my favorite lesser known poets:KFlippinMrDSpadegg.zainoAwful Poet
Hello, I have quite a lot of poems that I am considering putting on here. Any ideas what the traffic is like for poetry, does anyone read it anymore? It doesn't seem as popular as it use to be.Thanks.xxx
