I would love to read some lyrical poetry concerning elder not infantile or materialistic beauty. I feel society needs more of this type poetry thank you yazoogal43
I'm sorry this isn't lyrical poetry but it's the only one I have on the requested subject. Sometimes imagery is lost to the reader so a brief summation: youth is self-absorbed but there comes the day for all of us when we find we have been replaced by the next generation of youth.
slower traffic keep right
the red carpet girls are gone mad with elegance
pretty young things with hot tools and leg venom
movie mouths drenched in max factor and balenciaga
the uber sexy move their juicy tubes like urban witches while cameras say 'quiero solamente' - i love only one'
but after the ball
like the flight of the galileo
comes bandy legged mr. slyboots
that gypsy who steals the unholy desire
the blind curve making red carpet girls undeliverable as addressed
their veils no longer effective in the valley of apples
that prism which turns in on itself
sometimes in passing they break through the walls with dance cards empty
but the bell ringers have come like a village of unicorns
erudites with angel essentials
saturn, the maker of old age, has set the agenda
now the kingdom of the sun is eden after the fall
sucking the breath of dreams
the illusion was the delusion which bumped against the sides of life
misled and misguided
now facing the moments vanished
new felines have pounced with unexpected wings
the balance has shifted to pretty young things with hot tools and leg venom
juicy tubes drenched in smashbox and wang
