Amidst all the forum rubbish going on and the abundant holiday "ho-hum" let's see what films make you chuckle any time of year. The aggressive nature of so many in the religious forums is not a sanitary place to be. There is enough poop happening out in the real world for us to worry about. What's your film right now?
I still get a giggle from Jim Carrey's "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." The garter belt was a nice touch for those green legs.
"Hot Shots" with Charlie Sheen still gets a laugh. It's quite patriotic when the President saves the day by flatulating in the ocean.
I'd heard about Prince Bride for years, and I'd heard people quoting it and making it seem as if it's a real classic. Finally, my friend and I watched it a few months ago. I just kind of sat "blankly" watching it. Was it me? Is it one of those that a person has to watch many times?
One that I laughed even when watching it alone the first time I saw it was Enchanted. The one that had me laughing more than any other movie ever has (I think) was The End with Burt Reynolds (from the 70's). I don't know if it was just my mood or not...
More recently, The Invention of Lying was one I found funny.
I would agree that Jim Carrey Movies always make me laugh. My favorites are Ace Ventura Pet Detective, Ace Ventura when Nature calls, Bruce Almighty and Liar Liar. I love almost every scene in when nature calls, but my favorite is the scene where he sees a lady wearing a fox fur, and he hits her husband in the face and dances around the room wearing him like a coat.
Do not pass go. Do not collect 200 dollars. Or, when he kidnaps a guy and tries to get him to tell him where the sacred bat is by doing that weird thing with his eye, and the knife and fork on a plate...oh and we can't forget the Rhino scene! Funny stuff!
Another one that cracks me up is Nutty Professor with Eddie Murphy. That scene where they are all sitting at the dinner table, is probably the most I have laughed during in a movie.
Spaceballs still cracks me up, and Blazing Saddles.
wow i remember in ace ventura 2 when he was unconscious and he was saying, "flowers for me well i do declare mr bogar!" i cant i used that line all the time when im with my friends. and wow you bought up Spaceballs and Blazing Saddles, you might as well keep the list growing because Mel Brooks movies are too funny lmao. and you cant forget about all the Naked Gun Movies!
Hope this forum is where my post belongs. I simply wanted to comment, that the red and blue arrows, indicative of our traffic, made me laugh this morning. Two hubs that I published on the 5th, have arrows pointing down,...
In our book club of mom's we read, 'THE BOOK OF MOM' by Taylor Wilshire. A funny novel about a mom that loses her sence of self is overwhelmed in life and how she finds her passions back. We all loved this book, a...
