This 6 word story is supposedly attributed to Hemingway. Can you write a 6 letter (or less) story?
Six letters or less? R U ill?
Methinks too much credit is given to this as a story. There may be a story behind it but just because it's Hemingway, doesn't make it a story. No offense, Ernie.
It has a beginning, middle and end with a conflict and resolution... those were the parameters. The reader's perception and imagination fills in the details. I don't know that it was great... but the author considered it one of his best.
I have a one sentence-er."He looked into the box for more bullets, it was empty."
My favorite stories have always been the ones that left a lot to the imagination. This story does exactly that
Had to think about it...Came up with:Anniversary dinner tonight. Table for one.
