It can be about christmas, sharing and any other relevant topic to do with people coming together to celebrate a once a year event.

Row, row, row your loot gently down the stream,
If you see a patrol boat,
    Don't forget to swim... big_smile

Thank you. Just in a proper mood. I've been writing christmas cards for my bosses' clients, still not done. I need about 300 of them to be mailed before holidays, may be more. I will probably NOT going to write a single one for my friends, I am so sick and tired of them - cards, not friends. Well, it's those darn holidays... big_smile

I know the feeling HG, and all you want to do is pick the cards up and through them at the wall smile I got these chrismas cards last week and I got them written and ready but the envelopes suppied with the cards became torture becaus they wer just a little smaller than the card and what should have been a five minute job turned into the Krypton factor and took me three hours to do.. I managed to do it but was a nightmare... smile

    Baah Baah Humbug
    Christmas is a joke.
    Shopping is a nightmare,
    With all the ignorant folk.

You try to buy your groceries,
    Your christmas presents too.
    But never going forward,
As your stuck inside a queue.

Just when you think its over,
    And the worst fluttered by.
    You realize you forgot something,
And then you start too cry.

There was a young lady from Boston, Mass
Who stood in the ocean up to her...

    ...ankles.

    It doesn't rhyme.
    But in 12 hours...
    It will.

Christmas is a time we love
    lights, laughter, maybe a dove
    we dance around trees,
    grope each others' knees
and pray to God the dove won't crap all over the new carpet!  big_smile

every year the holidays take their toll
with hangovers, credit card debt, and a stocking full of coal
I haven't learned to get it right
even if I stay up all night
I will never see santa squeeze down that chimney!

    He looks so jolly,
    He comes with holly.
    He brings a lovely gift.

    He rides a sleigh,
    But not today.
    Or people would be miffed.

    He rewards good,
    Just like he should,
    And him you cannot decieve.

    You may not see him,
But you might just hear him,
On the night of Christmas eve.

These are all great everyone, here's mine ...

      Christmas is so jolly
      full of love and holly
      Santa is here
      We're full of good cheer

      We'll eat and drink
and eat and drink some more
The next day we'll try not to think
... "Oh what did I do that for!"

Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to all hubbers.

Just had a read of everyone's poem, I must admit they are really good, I gues I should have stated "that we should post the poems on Christmast Eve" sorry everyone who's posted already, if you still up for it, you can write another one thanks..smile

Christmas Eve, if you're a Christian hubber
means you have been saved, and you will discover
you can dwell in the ranks
    of those who give thanks
to a perfect, ominiscient, every-present, BUT UNSEEN, entity

Now, I have been Christian and Buddhist
but the Christians don't allow me to be Buddhist and Christian
The Buddhists will allow me to be Christian and Buddhist, however
    what a dilemna!
so you can see why I don't celebrate
Christmas Eve.  It just confuses me and others, as well

well, maybe a plate of fudge.

You don't necessarily have to celebrate Christmas to write the poem, just treat it as a special gift to a Huber on the 25 of December, it doesn't have to be about christmas directly, It can be about how your year went, how you want next yr to go, how much you like your family or not  etc
