cradle the shadowed parts of him

not unlike my own

held tight next to shades of mine

where once they were alone

ever grey and buried

dug beneath the earth of me

or begged for light

never realized, they were unseen

painted veils upon kings men

they were the ones creating this

the blackened stairs that i ascend

truth and knowledge never touched

the grayness that i hide

but lack there of is what had fed

the shadowed beast inside

bitter taste of sin

I'm sure they mirror mine

and lead me up the stairs to light

let darkness make it right

swings and lightening bugs

sprinklers if we dare

and sprinkled along this dusty trail

run my fingers through your hair

hunt them one by one

my darkness and your own

and in the end ill die with you

sweet with honey sugar,

hearts in shadow boxes

left on shelves while others played

soon our light will be whats coveted.
