In Finding Fault

Source

When pointing the finger

when finding blame

seeing where your neighbor lacks

remembering the offense

cherishing the pain

speaking of it over and over

as though you might forget

thinking that others aught to partake

Are you really faultless

are you pure

does perfection grace your tongue

gold travel from you

to whomever asks without reservation

for it isn't truly yours

but that which gave you breath

who's favor you cannot repay

What have you to say of you

that wasn't given?

Then what shall you give?

notice the aging

who cant forgive

waist away

cursed by their years

hurt by their pain

Notice the aged

who seem to glow

beautiful for the sifting sands

glorious and whole

though ready to sleep

giving happiness to all they meet

drawing all within their way

Now judge you then

judge yourself

which road less traveled by

shall you walk today?

Oh, my! Thank you! That's a lovely compliment.

Judging definitely should be an exlusive DI2Y project! And even then, leeway must be allowed.

I think when the book of proverbs is pared with the admonition that Christ gave in the sermon on the mount, one comes to the conclusion that if one should judged one must judge one's self first and perfect oneself.
