This is another older poem; circa 2008. It was around a time that a certain group of people were getting voted on to ban the legality of their marriages, so it was more of a hypocritical statement I was trying to make.
Many men seem to fear or even hate,
Their brothers, who bear a burden,
Of an ungodly secret to love,
And behold another like them.
And a bigoted book bears,
Mysterious messages suggesting,
Their creator wants these sinners,
Sent away, slain and shipped to hell.
Is that any way for a person,
Of so-called sacred munificence,
To behave toward their brothers?
