The State of Things

The State of Things

Some people are so happily,
Living in giant lethargy,
Making people solitary...

When you have a majority,
Who push a hearty priority,
That insults a big minority...

You find there is no divinity,
In dividing to infinity,
Of people who are riding free...

The nature of the bigotry,
Is like a Big ole’ tree,
Blocking the validity...

Of a nation’s sovereignty,
That was fought so properly,
When people were just property...

So, if we did it properly,
Then people would be happily,
Enjoying their amenities...

Before there is fatality,
And I hate to use banality,
But give people their equality...

Since religious ambiguity,
Is very arbitrarily,
Disheartening invariably...

And hypocritically,
Abused and eventually,
Used as deprecatory...

So heed a word of cautiousness,
And end the statewide nauseousness,
Of putting citizens in misery,
And not repeating history.

All I have to say is bravo! This was well-conceived, well-written, clever, yes, imaginative and thought provoking and it was a dance with words! Thanks much.
