laugh (come on and)

For what will be

Laugh

In only the way that you can laugh

Cry

When the reasons for crying can’t be

Denied

Don’t let them tell you when you can or can’t

Smile

For the point of it all is that there will be a day when you can

Laugh

You will feel joy again someday and

Laugh

Mad

In only the way you know how to feel

Sad

It’s not too late to come out and

Scream

And maybe when you’ve let it all out you can

Smile

You will feel joy again someday

And you will smile again someday

Come on and

Laugh

Cry

Don’t hold it inside

Sob

And let the tears flow out of your

Eyes

Feel that feeling in your throat

Ache

Even after all this time

You will feel joy again someday

And you will smile again someday

And you will feel the sun on your face

Come on and

Laugh

Cry

For the years that won’t be

Cry

For the things you won’t see

Cry

For what will never be

Cry

Then

Come on and

Laugh

Laugh

Laugh

And hold your head high

Oh Chris! I've known, not this pain, but this kind of pain. I thought the sun would never shine again (and shouldn't), I thought I'd never feel hope again (and didn't want to), and I thought my future would be endless darkness and agony (and wanted it that way).

Then, I felt warmth on my face, and found myself wanting to see what came next, and then one day, I laughed. That's when I began to know healing.

This is beautiful.
