Lauren Kate Fallen
As I was walking through Walmart, I saw a book out of the corner of my eye. The cover was beautiful and gothic looking, something that suits me quite well. I decided to buy the book. So far, I am not impressed with the novel. The cover is the best thing I've seen so far. I am currently on page 169 and I still don't feel like anything has really happened. Luce sees shadows and feels some wierd connection with Daniel Grigori. We know that she ended up at a boarding school because something bad happened to her boyfriend (guy friend) while they were walking around away from the crowd. It's obvious that these "shadows" have something to do with that. A tombstone almost fell on her and another guy, Cam, likes her. So after approximately 160 pages, this sums up what happens. Also, I am getting a pretty good description of everything but the main character. The author describes the setting amazingly, the other characters good, but I do not have a good picture of what Luce, the main character looks like. I am a bit torn, because it seems as though the end of this book has potential, but it's taking everything I have to keep going.
If anyone has read this book please give me some feedback! I will keep you posted on the rest of the book.....
