Mend This Broken Heart

Mend This Broken Heart

Life is hard, wouldn't you say?

No one smiling just another bad day.

Can always get better, can always get worse.

Is it bad luck, or maybe a curse.

Pain in my heart, that continuously aches.

It's there when I fall asleep,

It's there when I wake.

I close my eyes, to make it go away,

But it follows me to dreamland,

And through to the next day.

Sad, sad thoughts fill my mind,

And tears fill my eyes.

I pull the covers over my head,

But from myself, I cannot hide.

Love and Friendship should go hand in hand.

Look into these eyes , maybe you'll understand.

No heart could ever be as true,

No heart could ever be as pure.

But I need to mend this broken heart,

Can someone give me the cure.

Sunshyne, I've been there. The cure is enough time and God's grace and healing touch, as well as a new and demanding task he has given you to do that demands all you have to give.
