This is my first day of hubbing blogging .... just trying out expressing on this medium. I am a scientist working in Mumbai, India, in an internationally reputed institute. I am also an affiliated researh professor in a university in USA. Mostly spending time in trying to understand truth and enjoy it. That is perhaps best way to describe today's Science and Technology- activity.
But I am also thinking of one of my Danish friends, a lawyer. I made him attend once a lecture in Mathematics. After the lecture I asked him what he felt. His reaction was, "it is too serious and too formatted. The lecturer did not even once get out of his subject to make some general remark, no jokes of course, but even smiles were confined to subject etc." That is perhaps quite true. Scientists or Science/Technology professors express a lot, but prefer to stay within their range of subject. Over all this leaves out a lot. A blog can be used differently and I intend to do that.
I travel quite a bit, all over world. I have spent a lot of time in USA. I think of it as an almost second home country for me. I also spend a lot of time, reading news and news papers on internet from many different countries. I enjoy reading/watching movies, news, business- news, political- news, on tv, on internet or just classical paper format. I also like to form my own opinions, reactions on events and enjoy asking others to read or watch what ever I liked. Right now I do this with my wife, children and friends. Now I plan to do this via this blog. I hope some others will also enjoy it.
An Old Sanskrit shloka where a “Guru” (teacher) is inviting his “Shishya” (student) to study roughly says –
“ Come! Oh! Shishya! let us try to enjoy truth of this universe together”
(I do not remember exact shloka, if some body remembers please write in the comments).
On internet every body is guru and shishya at the same time.
“So let us try to enjoy together the truth and beauty of this universe”
