Feelings of February

I know it’s only been a month

Since that first evening

But you’ve affected me.

With your heart and your hands,

Your eyes and your smile,

You have touched me.

Like a warm, easy breeze,

You’ve refreshed my spirit

And calmed my mind.

April is National Poetry Month

Let’s celebrate National Poetry Month with a poem about a love that heals. Share your own and read the poetry of others in April! #10

With your gentle, sweet kindness,

You’ve soothed the rough edges

Of my ever-cautious heart.

My time with you is special

And no matter how it ends,

You have made a difference.

After a cold, painful January,

February has left me with smiles.

Thank you for February.

Victoria,

Your poetry is always so beautiful, and this poem is no exception to the rule. I like to take a 5-minute "vacation" every few hours and read one of your poems.

When are you putting together an anthology? I'll buy it!

Jenna! I think you are my new best friend! You take a 5 minute vacation for my poems??? Wow!!!! I'm so touched and honored. I'd love to put together an anthology. You think there's a market for it? Hey, at least I have one buyer, right? :-)

Ever notice how things hurt more in the cold? It makes a warming trend so much more welcome and appreciated. Glad that things have warmed up for you, Vicki. Thanks for a relaxing, enjoyable read!

Poetic Fool--Yes, I have noticed that the cold does intensify pain and loneliness. I'm so glad you enjoyed this. Thanks so much, my poetic friend.

Living in the south, February is a wonderful month of sunshine and warm breezes. It does bring the hope of spring to you. Lovely poem.
