Poem - Aliens on a Monday

Aleister Crowley's Lam from around 1918..
Aleister Crowley's Lam from around 1918..

the alien looked irritated

as he got out of the ugly saucer

and strode towards me

..a lot of subjective decisions

in those 3 seconds

stay fight run hide wait

a little like life..

I suppose it was the snail again

will I ever be free of that encounter

with Ras-qulina-factol-fortobi

anyway I tightened my grip on the spade and thought

alien meets Irish diplomacy

after that then we’ll talk..

as luck would have it

they landed in a xenophobic part of the country

and a Monday – like aliens on a Monday.. hello

who can handle that

are there weekends in space I wondered

or is the whole concept overrated

Very interesting poem. As soon as I saw the word Alien I had to read this I'm still waiting to meet one but preferably not on a Monday :)

Thanks Christin, agreed Monday is definitely not an alien day but inevitably that is what will happen ;-)
