A betraying lover, a poem
An Encounter With A Player
I wished upon a start already wished upon
Yearned to capture the glorious rays of a star already captive
The arousing dim light of this fiery white star, bewitched my soul, bewildered my spirit, blinded my eyes
The intense gravitational pull of his aura, confined my willing existence to his loci
The dreams contaminated by its astounding radiance
Ears bleeding; his pleasing low frequency
Body and soul infected; vanquished by the alluring magnetic field
By God
I resisted, I tried, I did
Protected it, kept it far away from my sleeve
A strenuous race against my molten core
Destined to flow into his phony trap
The ingenious lava, held under for too long
A volcano erupted
Ash clouds pouring; a stony rain
Bruising and wounding, grinding the spirit and soul once bewitched
In a gullible moment, I put my hand out
To reach out for the star up in the sky
A failed endeavour
Stars glistening
Reside millions of light years away
Only to be esteemed from afar
The nuclear fire blistering; enough to vaporise my core and mantle
My naïve naked eye
The ace luminous as ever
Set to stun a new prey
