she always was a deep sleeper

*disclaimer: This poem was written about six years ago when i was going through a divorce. I am currently in a happy, loving marriage. This poem was just a cathartic release for me. Hopefully it will help you, if you need it. It is also a song. if you would like a copy, drop me an e mail.

Rejection is like

an ice shower in the Arctic:
Cold uncomfortable
makes me sick so sick
makes me wish i was dead
Makes me feel unable

Makes it so hard to move on
Makes it so hard to work and live and sleep
Make me feel so useless
Makes my whole body

hurt

Perception is in

the eyes of the one who percieves
In this case it's me
and I percieve in you
a longing to be free
away from me
and onto another
i won't step on your toes
but i can't

let you leave

I'm running out of pebbles and

out of time
I'm running out of ways to win you back
I'm running out of pebbles on the edge of night
I'm running out of windows no more

panes to crack

Thanks Acaetnna. Some of my best work came out of that time. I'm thankful I had an outlet to get out some of those emotions!

This must have been such a difficult time for you, but because of this experience you were able to write this wonderful poem. I am so pleased that you have found love again; love, true love, is such a wonderful thing.

Thanks for stopping by Uban. I'm very blessed that I have the gift of writing to help me cope with painful things. I pity those who don't have an outlet
