A Still, Dark Night.

The shadow and the light,
are indistinguishable tonight.

The silence seems so loud,
though nobody is around.

I sit at my window looking out,
on to this solitary night, which seems to shout.

The darkness seems so bright,
and there is only me tonight.

I feel like I could do it all,
fly high and never fall.

Run far and never tire,
Jump, jump oh ever higher.

For me this night will never end,
and the shadow's will be my friends.

The stillness of this world,
beckons me out and ever forward.

The lights that shines across the moonlit bay,
are to me as Angels at play.

The night is filled with enchanting magic,
nought in this world now seems tragic.

The still, dark world that waits seems best,
while all the world's now at rest.

I shall play tonight alone,
until the light of the breaking dawn.

My only companions tonight I need;
the shadow's, the Angels, the darkness and me.

The End...

Beautifully grafted and inspiring. Lovely words dear poet.

The shadow and the light,

are indistinguishable tonight.

The silence seems so loud,

though nobody is around.
