there are worst fates then being alone

He sees me and is awe-struck by the

beautiful idea of his own making;

He falls madly in love, not with me but with

His own one-sided proposition.

He says he wants me but doesn't understand why

I am not willing;

He chases but I run

Faster than his dreaming feet.

His heart is a ready-made cage

Just ike the one I escaped before;

My wings have now fully sprouted

It is the sky that I crave......

Flapping my wings I could see over the horizon

Of magic lands more spacious than his crowded room.

Mystical words echo in the salty wind above the ocean

Whispering something I could not yet fathom...

My lonely heart, do not despair,

There are worst fates than being alone.

If you only knew how long the sacred lands have been waiting

To be unlocked by your secret songs.

Follow your passion like the fireflies in the darkest night

Hum with the silence that's louder than thunder

Laugh unashamedly when everyone is full of bother

Be a muse and be very very amused

My lonely heart, do not despair,

There are worst fates than being alone.

If you only knew how long the sacred lands have been waiting

To be unlocked by your secret songs.

visionanfocus, I'm so glad you agree with the title, sometimes I still have to remind myself every now and again, but usually I am having so much fun becoming all that I am. Some of us are destined to be alone, but that doesn't mean we are lonely. Once I got used to the idea, it is so fulfilling. Who knows, if one day, a man came with an entire garden instead of a cage, one might not object too much, lol.

The society often judge us as "defected" if a woman remains to be single after a certain age. I for one could not agree. I chose to walk out of a relationship where I wasn't honoured for all of who I am. Although it could be lonely at times, I feel I am doing a much better job appreciating who I am and developing my talent when I am alone. For now anyway. I know nurturing loving relationships do exist and it is up to me to allow love into my life, one day, when I am ready.

Hello fellow Kiwi, I am so pleased that you have done well here (@HP) and hope that you continue to grow towards a sun that only you, know how to appreciate and respond to. I love that you seek a whole garden, rather than a cage! Perhaps you will find what you seek in the depth of their words and those words relationship with their hearts? You write well and your heart is in what you write... so never settle for anyone unable to be as open as your passion.

I hope you don't mind what I'm saying... men, especially kiwis, really don't take the time to understand the beauty of an independent woman... they are too insecure in themselves... hence their cages! Fly free and be who must, who you are, destined to be! Hahaha... Love will find you... only when you stop looking for it!

Btw... to get more traffic from your title.. you need to change your title from 'worst' to the grammatically correct word 'Worse' - In that way it will appeal more in search engines! Take care... there is nothing defective about learning to fly, unless one is a lame duck! Being a poet, I understand what it takes and you, are no lame duck, that's for sure!... PD

Hi PearlDiver xoxo thank you so much for your wise advice! I am sorry it took me so long to discover your comment here as I got carried away by my busy studies at school. Almost coming to the end of my third year in FineArts and just one more year to go, so it's all good! I must admit relationship had proven to be a huge "learning experience" and great teaching device, lol. Over the years I have evolved from an emotionally needy person to someone on the other end of the spectrum, who knows her own worth and needs a certain healthy amount of freedom in order to thrive. Life teaches us well. :-) And thank you for the advice on how to improve traffic, I will correct that grammatical mistake now. If you see any thing anywhere in my hubs that I could improve on please do not hesitate to let me know striaght. I will only be too thrilled to learn!!!! Thank you hon xoxoox

Hi Ed, thank you for coming by! I will make a cup of tea (unless you want coffee then you had to bring them, lol) and biscuits! I am actually allergic to caffeine as it somehow miraculously put to straight to sleep. :-) I am sure no two relationship is really the same, and we get exactly what we need to learn to become a more balanced person in each and every relationship. Life is showing me mirrors wherever I go, and I have had my near escapes, lol. The amazing thing is, I also learned from the same event of the person I once was and finally understood the behaviours of others which at one time really hurt and puzzled me a great deal. Life is fair, in all its numerous and mysterious ways. xoxo sugar? milk?
