What Bathroom Cleaner Gives the Best "Oomph"?

Updated on July 8, 2019

Making sense of life and all of its trauma and sharing some of my thoughts and experiences along the way!

I have cleaned a lot of grime out of a lot of bathrooms on many occasions. From cleaning up after messy tenants in an a small apartment complex I managed years ago to cleaning the grime left behind by three messy teenagers, and I have never encountered a job too hard for Comet Bathroom Cleaner to handle.

The best part about it is that Comet Bathroom Cleaner works with minimal "elbow grease" on even the toughest of jobs! I just spray the product on the area to be cleaned and let it sit for about ten minutes. Then, using a warm, wet washcloth, towel, or sponge, I just rinse it all away. The result is a clean shiny area that looks brand new!

The instructions and warnings are clearly printed on the back label and are simple and easy to follow.

AVAILABILITY

Another great thing about this product is that it is easy to find just about anywhere from grocery stores to dollar stores to the mega discount stores. You will probably pay more for this product than you would for a "bargain" bathroom cleaner no matter where you buy, but I have been using this product for over ten years, and I wouldn't even consider switching cleaners for a moment! It is possible to get a better price by purchasing gallon sized refill jugs rather than one spray bottle at a time, but the refills are not always available at all stores.

VENTILATION

I do recommend turning on the bathroom vent/fan while using this product because the fumes can be quite strong while spraying. If you don't have a bathroom vent/fan, then I recommend the use of a dust mask or respirator. If you can hold your breath just until you are done spraying (or bury your mouth and nose in your shirt as I sometimes do), you will probably be ok - unless you are very sensitive to cleaning fumes. The fumes seem to be the strongest while spraying, but they are not near as noticeable after the product sits for a few minutes.

SKIN

Additionally, if you have sensitive skin, I would recommend the use of gloves while using this product. I don't personally use gloves, and I never have a problem with my skin, but I am always sure to wash well with soap and water after using this product. I don't want to chance getting any type of skin irritation from leftover cleaner. Of course, as with any cleaner, you want to avoid ingesting it or getting it into your eyes as well.

ALL THAT AND MORE!

For tougher jobs, it might be easier use a sponge that is slightly abrasive, but that shouldn't be necessary unless the scum or grime has been accumulating for years.

For the purpose of this review, I have demonstrated how this product works on about three weeks of grime (gross, I know) in a fiberglass tub; however, Comet Bathroom Cleaner can be used on the sink, bathroom counter tops, toilet, tile showers and baths, stainless steel, chrome, synthetic marble, and more!

Comet Bathroom Cleaner really is a great all-around bathroom cleaner. If you are looking for a bathroom cleaner with more "OOMPH" than your present cleaner, I highly recommend this product. I think you should at least try it once. After you try it, make sure you come back and rate it here on this blog to let others know how fantastic it is!

Blessings!
