G-Ma remodels her bathroom...OMG
G-Ma did what???
Well here goes nothing really...will make an attempt to explain my Bathroom re- modeling job...since i usually don't write hubs of this kind I thought it would be a good challenge...and don't mind if you have a good laugh or even think it is too dumb to publish...I am going to try anyways......
So I decided to re-do the bathroom before my ex made his exit so I could get some help with it....Fair? I think so...after all I am older then he is and am not really good on ladders anymore...Heights make me dizzy LOL
First thing I did was to pull off the wallpaper...what a mess...but at least when I put it up I used sizing which helps take it off...In the process though I lost a ring I had worn for the 33 yrs. we were together..and I cried for 2 days and searched through the torn, sticky wallpaper 3-4 times...finally giving into it being a sign of a love lost..
Well I go to the Paint store in search of a new great color scheme...yes sure...OMG there are so many great colors and I am so confused...but alas I find this machine that shows you all the rooms in a house...and you can pick your colors and try them out...on the walls, the trim, the doors, around windows and mirrors and showers. What fun that was. Me and this other lady played with it for about 2 hrs. chatting like we knew each other...
Ok so I buy the program to put on my computer so I don't have to take those ity bity samples home for testing. And sense it is the bathroom I want good paint so it won't peel off...I took pictures of all the angles in the bathroom and went to the computer to design my wonderful ideas...
Well boy did I ever have some cool paint colors put together..on the ceiling, the walls, around the doors...etc. you get the picture...trouble was the colors don't come out the same as the ones you buy...so I just got more confused and so spent way to much time trying out all the combo's that were possible.
My ex is leaving in a couple of weeks so I run back to the store and bring home the samples I failed to bring home the first trip a month ago ...So they hung in the bathroom so I could see them in the morning light, the afternoon light and of course the night light...Moved them around several times and then finally decided what I wanted.
So back to the store to purchase the paints (Ex is now leaving in 3 days ) and I still changed my mind whilst in the store...Finally made a quick decision and rushed home. I painted the walls and all the trim and he got on the ladder and used the saw and we 'got 'er done' in the 3 days...phew! ! ! Now all I have to do is clean everything up and put all my stuff back up...Well it turned good and wasn't to much cost in materials and so that is my story...and you can see the pictures on the side here...Hope you approve...G-Ma :o) Hugs
