How to remove candle wax and gum off the carpet

Removing candle wax

You have several options to remove candle wax off the carpet.

First, harden the candle by placing some ice over it (use ziploc bag).

Use a dull scraper and gently break the hardened wax and scrape them off slowly without damaging the carpet.

You can purchase candle remover from a cleaning supply company. It comes in an aerosol can.

Spray the candle and freeze it. When it hardens, use a dull scraper and gently scrape from underneath the candle without damaging the carpet.

Note: You must use a dull scraper instead of sharpened cutter scraper. It could damage the carpet.

Removing gum off the carpet

Steps are similar to removing candle wax off the carpet.

First, harden the gum by placing some ice over it.

If you are using the gel type, pour a small amount over the gum and gum will soften up. Use a dull scraper and gently scrap off the gum. Remove the residue with a wet microfiber towel .

Note: You must use a dull scraper instead of sharpened cutter scraper. It could damage the carpet.
