How to remove gum off the carpet

You have several options with professional products.

You can purchase these items at janitorial supply companies.

1: Gum removing solution in aerosol can.

Spray small amount over the gum.

It will freeze the gum to a hard piece of rubber and you can gently scrap it off with scraper.

Do not use a sharp knife on the carpet, you could cut into the carpet and damage the surface.

Use the dull edge scraper and gently scrape the hardened gum off the carpet from a corner.

You might have some residue of gum on the carpet.  Use a carpet spotter and spray over the area and gently scrub with microfiber or carpet brush and remove the residue.

Place a clean towel or microfiber towel over the cleaned area and step on to get the moisture out as much as you can.

Let the area dry for 1 to 2 hours.

2: Gum Gel.  Soft creamy professional product.

Pour small amount over the gum and it will soften the gum.

Remove the gum by using a dull edge scraper from a corner and remove as much as you can first.

Use a carpet spotter and spray over the residue and gently scrub with microfiber or carpet brush and remove the rest.
