Here's some good advice. If you're happy where you are, don't move.
Do your research when it comes to moving. Check what industries are popular, pay rate of employees-don't let titles fool you, and pay attention to your needs. If you are accustomed to a fast pace mentality, are an art/cultural intellectual, then Mississippi may not be the right move for you.
Know thyself. If you are not happy in an environment, you owe no one an explanation or justification. Just do what's best for you. Life is too short not be in an environment that makes you happy to live there.
