My Art, My Drawings

Thursday, March 17, 2011

The first drawing I ever created was one of Saint Mary. I drew saints for many years.

I have many other drawings I will one day share with everyone on Hub Pages, but I have to figure out some ways to put them on the screen.

My intention was to sell some of my art in some large city galleries, but I never had a lot of money to catch a plane to New York to stay there long enough to put some of my work in it's galleries.

One of my best drawing I ever created is entitled " Nude In A Tulip Garden." I drew a magnificently nude curvaceous woman's entire back side of her anatomy, and placed her in a garden of Tulips.

It was a very simple drawing showing the power of just a few lines combined with my mental design to reveal the natural beauty of the figure in a simple setting.

The power of lines, the unique ability of art to capture a captivating idea, a beautiful thought involving nature.

Her hair, her curves, her body, the flowers, and the simple field created the work.

I sold copies of the drawing very cheap. Naturally I have the original. I never sold hardly any of my original drawings. They mean too much to me. They are too valuable.

If I had to put a price on the " Nude Woman In A Tulip Garden," I think I would want would shock a lot of folks. It is magnificently beautifully simple and stunning to say the least. It is just lines on a sheet of paper that created something phenomenal in my view. How much is it worth ? A hell of a lot in my view.

I 'll find a way someday to try to put her on the screen. Whether , or not Hub Pages would allow it on a hub is another matter. It is art and nothing less, but it does most definitely insinuate a nude.

It reveals the power in a woman, the ultimate magnificence in a lady's beauty. The human body is a work of art created by God. There is no vulgarity intended in the drawing, but I am sure it would be amazing in the eyes of art lovers.

I do not even know if this hub will be considered printable because of it's discussion, because I am talking about a piece of nude art. But I guess I will find out if it is acceptable by viewers , or by hub pages if it turns out, not publishable.

God Bless Everyone.

It sounds lovely and I doubt it is anything but respectful and signifies the beauty you see in most everything around you.

Do have a scanner on your printer? That's the way to get the pictures on line if you want to.

We attended the Greek festival in Asheville a few years ago and went to a lecture on iconic art. Your work shown here reminds me of it.

Good job and best of luck selling your work!
