All About Kempner Texas

The city of Kempner was founded in 1882 and is named after Harris Kempner, a Texas philanthropist, banker and railroad magnate.

Kempner Texas is located on US HWY 190, 10 minutes west of Copperas Cove and 15 minutes East of Lampasas Texas. And is in Lampasas County.

Kempner is a part of Killeen, Copperas Cove, Lampasas and Fort Hood Metropolitan area. This community is a favorite due to the central location and the available real estate that offers homes on small acreage tracts of land usually between 1 to 5 acres. Pecan Valley Estates, River Place, Binion Creek, and more. The school district is Lampasas ISD.

As this community grows, local business have stepped up to accommodate their neighboors needs. The Shell Gas Station features a small grocery store, and a local bank known as The National, with offices and drive through banking. A Dollar General was recently built to allow locals to shop without having to drive into Copperas Cove or Lampasas to pick up a few items needed at home. Several family owned restaurants are making a name for themselves and the local city offices include a new post office, city hall and more.

Kempner is a great family community that also offers great investment opportunity. The famous saying "If you build it, they will come" presents itself every time I drive through Kempner, on my way home. I love to write about small Hill Country Texas towns and hope you have found some of this information useful if you are researching the area.
