Peace Lillies : The Perfect Indoor Plant

Peace Lilies Cleanse the Indoor Air

Peace Lilies are an alluring focal point that create an ambiance of serenity. Their presence affords an aura of hypnotic and mesmerizing tranquility. They not only add a gorgeous designer touch to any room, they cleanse the indoor air of harmful contaminants.

Spathiphyllum or (Peace Lilies) as they’re better known,” are one of the most attractive designer plants today with their broad, glossy green leaves and white blooms that resemble the head of a cobra, they’re also known to cleanse the indoor air of contaminants” such as benzene, formaldehyde, and trichloroethylene and replace them with oxygen.

These gorgeous plants offer so much and expect so little in return that they have become one of the most beloved indoor plants of modern time. They’re sturdy plants. The flowers they produce are a pale green in the beginning and change to a creamy white when mature. The flowers last a long time before new growth takes its place.

Spathiphyllum, the Peace Lilies are an evergreen which means it keeps it’s large glossy green leaves and intoxicating creamy colored florals all year long. This is an added bonus as you will be able to enjoy its elegance and grace plus receive it’s healthful benefits year round.

They create an aura of peace and tranquility and are received by everyone with pleasure. They are a welcoming and hospitable addition to any room.

The Peace Lily is also a perennial plant, which means it lasts indefinitely. As it grows larger and produces it’s beautiful, graceful flowers; you will need to fertilize it once every other month with a liquid fertilizer. Be careful not to over-fertilize.

Peace Lilies do well in shade. They need very little sunlight to thrive. That’s another reason that makes them a great choice for an indoor plant. They require only a small amount of filtered light.

The Peace Lily does best when the soil is kept moist, but as a rule needs watering only once a week.

It's amazing that something so decorative and beautiful will actually remove so many dangerous pollutants from the air and replace them with cleaner oxygen. Knowing this fact, makes them even more enchanting.

NOTE: Virtually all plants are capable of helping to purify the air, so why not add a few to your home? Not only are they an effective designer touch to any room but also make your home's interior environment a healthier place to live.

What a lovely flower. The next time I go to a department store, I will check them out. Walmart Garden center will probably have some of them. God Bless You Precious heart.

marellen, The Peace Lily is one of the easiest plants to care for and one of the most beautiful. If you decide to put the plant outdoors, place it in an area thats shaded most of the time and only gets indirect light. They really do better indoors. Thanks for voting and commenting.
