Choosing a queen comforter for your bedroom is probably going to be one of the more important decisions you make on bedroom decor. It will also most likely be the first thing that people see when they enter your room, especially if you have an elegant bed. I guess some people just choose to put whatever comforter on their bed that they want. But, if you really want to take in all the colors of the room and you want to not only make it look good for other people, but yourself as well, there are a few simple steps you should follow!
First off, when selecting a comforter for any bed you want to make sure you get the right size. If you are not sure what size your bed is, you should be able to view the size on the manufacture tag. The comforter you choose will fit the bed perfectly on all sides. Second, consider the color. While the color does not necessarily have to match the rest of the decor in your room, it also should not clash with the colors in your bedroom either.
Now if you have something like a white wall in your room, you can almost
go with any color, style, or design concept for the bedding because it
will be like painting on a blank white canvas. On the other hand, if you
have a color on your wall such as green, you should try to stick with
lighter colors that will accent the walls. This is not only for a visual
aspect, but it also helps the room look less cluttered and squared in.
If you have wallpaper on your wall that is "busy" such as a flower pattern, it is best to go with a solid colored queen comforter. You really do not want a busy wall with a busy pattern comforter or it will begin to take on a dizzying feel, which is definitely not something you want! If you want to get more bang for your buck, you could also consider getting a comforter set which will include all of the items you need for your bed including pillow cases, comforter, sheet, duvet, fitted sheet and a sham.
Some of these sets will even come with accent pillows as well as window treatments as well. This is a nice idea as well because you can stick with the same colors for the bedding. Many people have it where they buy just the comforter and then they cannot find the same color to match all the other accessories or find a color that is like the one they already have.
