Tackling the house

So, I posted a question about domestic crap. My house is not where I want it to be. I am new to the non work day thing and I want the house to look better/different. The problem is that I don't like house work. So naturally, the Rookie looks to more seasoned players for tips. I was looking for simple ways to do this crap. I really don't like house work so you may hear me repeat the word crap a lot. That is my frustration word of choice & no it does not substitute profanity. I am not really into the profanity thing although I was a sailor and have every right to use it!  I am throwing that in just in case I get beat up by this particular goal!

So here it is, 10:30pm and I am excitedly hubbing about another hub that was posted. The hub has really given me hope. This lady responded to my question with a link to her hub and sounds like my kindered spirit in the household department anyway. She found a resource that I have no knowledge of called FlyLady. I am using the series of hubs written about a 31 day, baby step program to actually follow the program myself. I am going to attempt this without having any first hand access to the resource. In the hub, which is well written and funny, the lady is a skeptic and really is full of hope while on the fence. It is a very familiar area for me when it comes to this department in my life.

Anyway, I am supposed to be going to bed to chaperone 2nd graders tomorrow, but first I have to clean my sink because that is the first step. The sooner I take the first step, the sooner this frustrating card carried predominantly by the female population will be over or at least at a tolerable, non-frustrating, easy to upkeep level. Lord, I hope that I can do this and that it works. Whew! As you can probably tell, I have all sorts of issues in the domestics area. I am a work in progress. We will see how this goes. As I write this, I am thinking about dinner, which I still have to put away, and I am dreading the thought of what is in my sink. I just am so grateful that they didn't start with clean the counter. That would take all night!  Just a random question, if I just buy the outfit in the picture, can I get out of the house work?  Had to ask.  I know the answer... off to the kitchen I go, CRAP!

Wish me luck!

Here is the hub that I read. I would love to hear from any rookie house wife sisters that maybe out there...
