The Little Yellow Bird. Part 28. Adjusting To Normal Life.

The Little Yellow Bird. Part 28. Adjusting To Normal Life.

Friday, February 11, 2011

My husband called me from and unspecified classified location. He asked me if everything was all right at home. I told him that everything was just fine, and for him not to worry about anything, and to learn whatever he needs to learn in order to do his work right. He said, " Thank you sweet heart, and I will keep in touch."

My chicks have crawled out of their nest and are messing with my keyboard. We have three girls , and they all look alike. Their little tiny yellow birds, and their feathers are tiny. As I am trying to type, their mouths seem to be wide open again. They could be triplets I am not sure, but they did not come from one egg. They came out of three eggs.

Thank God I have help. The Red Cross Nurse has gathered them up in and Easter basket and has brought them to their high chairs in the kitchen. They have now hunkered down for some serious chow down moments of sweet delight. They seem to enjoy consuming banana and pineapple Gerber food in those little jars, and then they want to drop the jars on the floor so we can pick them up. They are in a stage where they intentionally like to sling food , and drop stuff. The red cross nurse is feeding the chicks. She told me to relax a while so I kicked off my shoes to lie down on our recliner.

From my recliner I can see that the old man inside the house trailer must have gotten out of bed early. It is very cold outside. In fact it is freezing. The old man turned the heat up in the house trailer, and then started cooking. I think he is cooking up another one of his "anything he can find" meals.

What he cooked seems to look O.K. It has chicken and ham in it. It has rice, thin spaghetti, lemon stir fry seasoning, and shrimp flavored soup with pieces of peppers and celery . He placed it all in a casserole bowl, covered the bowl with a ceramic plate, after adding three cups of water to the mix. After thirty minutes of microwave time , the food was finished. It looks like a thick kind of soup.

The old man made coffee ,  but Becky and Joann did not want any. Becky likes and prefers her hot chocolate.

It is so cold I do not think the old man will do much of anything accept write a little. Maybe I will write a little too. I have to finish my novel, " Shena Of The Jungle."

My mom and dad will come to visit later today. My mom and dad are crazy about the little chicks. Their grandpa has already started reading up on children's stories.

Later this afternoon the Red Cross nurse and I and the chicks will ride in a military jeep to visit the mall. A body guard will be traveling where ever we go. Maybe he can pick us up some delicious donuts at the mall. The nurse and I will be busy pushing the chicks around in baby strollers.

God Bless Everyone.

Everyone keeping busy I see. It's easy to tell you have been such a good father because you know so much about the habits of young ones, wanting to knock things over just to watch you pick them up. Your love for family shines through every hub you write and is so beautiful and sweet!
