The Little Yellow Bird. Part 30. My Chicks Like Super Hero Comic Books.

The Little Yellow Bird. Part 30. My Chicks Like Super Hero Comic Books.

Tuesday, February 15, 2011.

Yesterday my chicks and I took a ride to see my mom and dad. We decided to enjoy the outdoors in our brand new Candy Apple Red Corvette . The chicks try real hard to help me shift gears with the stick shift. They like to hear the gears grind.

My chicks and I rode to thei grandma and grandpa's house with the top down. They kind of look like triplets. I told them all to sit down and to keep their little butts still so they did. I pulled over to the shoulder of the road to tie their shoes. It looks like every five minutes their untied.

The Red Cross nurse will be back Monday with the armed Marine Corp guard. The Marine guard does make us feek very secure with his machine gun right beside him at all times . I guess it is one of the perks we get to enjoy because my husband is now a ranked Commander fighter pilot flying fighter bombers.

The chicks do not know much about their daddy. They were so small and much younger when he left. My husband and I named our little girls Daisy, Rosie, and Tulip.

We stopped on the way to mamas at a gift shop, and the chicks put money on the counter for their Superman and Wonder woman comic books , but the cashier had to stand on his tip toes to see the chicks. So I had to place a card board box in front of the counter so that they could easily reach the counter to put their change in their bags. I do not know why they have to lug around their own diaper and under garment bags , but they do. The triplets have a kind of unusual independence about themselves.

The cashier smiled and told them to have a nice day so they uttered a few lady like chirps and sashayed out of the shop along with me.

As for myself, I picked up some very nice stationary and some fountain pens in order to write some very special letters to my husband that will travel to the Pentagon where he picks up his mail. He is a commander in the Navy, but he has so many other governmental stations where he meets important officials.

When I picked up a Newspaper from one of our popular American newspapers I saw a very handsome decorated Yellow Bird wearing a jet fighter pilots uniform. It could have been my husband's photograph. He was standing by a really sophisticated looking jet bomber. You could see that it was armed with strategic types of weaponry. Being a young lady I wouldn't know what guided missals look like , but I think my husband knows something about them.

Whatever my husband does, he is darn good at it. Sometime in the future I am sure he will want to see the girls, and I. Will the chicks and I fly the friendly skies of United, or will he be coming to see us ? I will leave the decision to him. I do not know where he lives . Does he stay at the Pentagon, or in and apartment complex ? Does he stay on a Navy base? His life is so top secret. I must always take special care in what I say, and in what I do for our sake, and for his sake. It kind of scares me sometimes. His responsibilities are awesome . It is what military families must realize.

My mom and dad were glad to see us. My daddy slowly helped me to walk the chicks into their house. They pulled a little wagon loaded down with all kinds of stuff I put in it. The chicks had all their goodies in it. They had their Country Western Cd's, their Cyndi Lauper hits, their personal diaper bags with powder included for their little delicate butts. They had so much stuff in their wagon that it all came crashing down on grandpa's feet as the chicks pulled real hard to bring it in their grandpa and grandma's house.

My mama had a table set. There were three special high chairs for the triplets. We all ate spaghetti ,and meatballs. Poor grandpa started choking on a meatball while trying to talk. The girls quickly went to his aid with the Heimlich maneuver on him. Daisy started jumping on his chest while he was on the floor. Rosie and Tulip tried to reach around grandpa from behind him , but their arms were to short so maw maw and I helped out. We all jerked hard on paw paw's solar plexus from behind him. Daisy jumping on his chest helped a lot. A chunk from a meatball flew out of grandpa's mouth, and he was able to breathe again. We all gave my daddy, the chicks grandpa , a wonderful loving hug.

We finished eating dinner, and then we spent the night at my parents house. The chicks followed me to my old bedroom , and watched MTV with me as they looked at pictures in their comic books, and practiced trying to put red lipstick on their beaks.

Grandpa came in our room to check on us, and to show the triplets pictures of Dinosaurs , and wild animals. Grandma started washing dishes, and Daisy pranced her little self into the kitchen and ask grandma if she needed any help. The triplets learned the Heimlich maneuver by listening to their Red Cross nurse talk about the wonders of medicine.

God Bless Everyone.
