Vitamix Blender has many uses
Vitamix blender (sometimes referred to as Vitamixer) has the reputation of being the best commercial-quality blender on the market today. It is used by many professional chefs worldwide to prepare smoothies, soups, sauces, and other recipes. In my home, I use my Vitamix 5200 blender mostly to make green smoothies, soups and ice creams. It made healthy nutrition easy - I rarely get sick any more, plus my 9-year-old son loves them! Here are some of my favorite recipes.

For ideal nutrition, it is recommended to consume a diet that is high in raw plant foods - fresh fruits, vegetables and leafy greens; and one that is low in fat, animal protein, and sodium. Healthy meals should consist of mostly of fruits, vegetables, greens, as well as legumes, whole grains, and raw nuts and seeds used in moderation. Some say that ideal diet for humans should consist of at least 70% or more (the more, the better) of calories from fruits and vegetables in their RAW state or lightly cooked or steamed.
The question is: "How can one consume this much of fruits, vegetables, and especially greens?"
For most people, even getting the minimum recommended portions is problematic, and many people say they don't even like eating fresh veggies and greens that much. And let's not forget about all the preparation required to make a big salad every single day.

5 Delicious Green Smoothie Recipes
1 cup strawberries
2 cups romaine leaves
2 cups water
Banana, Orange and Carrot Drink:
1/2 medium banana
1 medium orange, peeled and quartered
1 baby carrot
1/4 cup celery
1/2 cup cranberries
1 cup ice cubes
Icy Berry Delight:
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup of blueberries
1/2 cup of blackberries (if available)
Juice of half a lemon
2 cups of ice
1 cup of almond milk or rice milk (optiona)
Peachy Summer Delight:
6 peaches (no seed)
2 handfuls of fresh spinach leaves
2 cups of water
Green Grape Smoothie:
1 cup green grapes
1/2 cup pineapple
2 cups fresh spinach
1/2 ripe banana
1/2 cup water
1 cup ice
Vitamix Vs Blendtec
Of course, Vitamix is not the only blender in town. Having said that, there are really only two blenders that are worth your money if you are looking for a quality machine to make green smoothies and other healthy creations: Vitamix, of course is the first one, the other one being Blendtec blender.
While comparing Blendtec vs Vitamix will reveal some subtle differences between the two, both are really excellent kitchen appliances worth every penny (and at about $400 they sure cost a lot of pennies!).
