   Ususally with a garbage disposal there Is something In there that will not allow the teeth Inside It to do there jjob . On the very bottom of the Garbage disposal there Is little hole In the middle of It where a hex key goes . One should be attached to the disposal . If not you can get one at a hardware store . Rotate the hex key at the bottom clockwise and counterclockwise both .
      Then also there Is a tiny red button that you have to press , that Is the reset button . After that It should be back In working order .

   There are a few ways to go about it, depending on whether you wish to do it yourself or call on a service. As I tend to do things about the house on my own trying to save as much as I can without calling on plumbers, it comes down to understanding how the disposal unit works. Water can be used as well as taking apart the unit yourself, although the latter requires some bit of experience.
