It may not be creative, but I think the best way to keep all rooms clean is to have a place for everything (a "home" for each item, if you will); and not to allow anything to "live" anywhere other than its own "home" for longer than necessary.
One of the biggest contributors to messy rooms is the thinking, "I'll just leave this here because I MIGHT use it again". Keep in mind that you probably will, in fact, use it again - but it's usually pretty easy to just put it back in its "home" until you need it, and get it when you do. If you let too many things "live" where they don't belong - voila, you've got a mess on your hands.
A room may better looked by keeping the right things in right place with a regular timely cleaning.
There is no "creative" way. Get your butt into gear and clean it.
