Are creative people messy housekeepers?

Before I was involved in woodworking, gardening, crafts, home improvement projects and writing, I kept an immaculate house. There wasn't one room or area that I needed to close a door or declare off limits. Nowadays, cleaning seems to have taken a back seat to my other endeavors. Is it just me or are others in the same predicament? Have I mixed up my priorities or have they simply changed with age and what seems more important?

Thanks Donnah76 for a great reply. As the household chief, cook and bottle washer, bill payer, lawn, vegetable and flower gardener, snow removal person, laundry expert and writer, I sometimes get a tad overwhelmed.

Well, at least I know I am not alone. Seriously, it all started so quietly as the dust started to settle and the articles began to be published.

Thank you for your support and your understanding. I always thought I COULD do it all, but alas, I'm finding out some things need to go on the back burner.
