What are the health risks of using air conditioners in homes?
If the air conditioners have health risks, what is the solution to those living in very hot places?
If filters are changed frequently, that is as required, and there is no mold buildup in the duct work, there should be no adverse effects, or health risks in using an air conditioning system. As the name implies, the system's purpose is to "condition" the air, that is, to make it purer, or cleaner, or healthier. However, if the system is operated at a temperature that is "too low," or too cool, that is, this could make some people uncomfortable. Use common sense with any equipment that is designed to make our lives more comfortable.

Dr. Haddox
This depends on which hot place you're referring to. Refrigerant type A/C in desert climates like Las Vegas will strip what little moisture there is in the air causing all manner of respiratory problems as where the evaporative "swamp cooler" will also act as a humidifier with actual healthful benefits. However, in damp climates with high humidities the evaporative "swamp cooler" is next to worthless and can cause or exacerbate mold and mildew problems where as the refrigerant type A/C will do just the opposite.

Long term health risks of drinking a bottle of Tabasco a day?I've gotten in the habit of consuming a bottle of Tabasco sauce a day. Are there any health issues with this? Is the saying that if you eat too much spicy food you will get an ulcer true?
