Green Beans, Purple Beans, and Sweet Peas - They're ripe and ready! Although I may try my hand at canning this year, I have two freezers and lots of room. What's the best way to prepare the beans and peas to be frozen for later use?

Best way of freezing peas and beans is to blanch them first(half-cooked), let it cool down then bag them for the freezer.

That's what I had heard. I didn't know if I should blanch them quickly or for a few minutes. Thanks for your insight!
