Thats how it was when I was growing up as a child but as I got older things stop but people know me because of my restaurant but that is not the same
So i guess your not a people person that's fine because you know the people that are around you.
I live in a rural area so I can understand what you are saying we see most of our neighbors when we have street cleaning everyone come out to do there part.

I have spent plenty of time in Cali and have never witness that I even stayed there for 6 months and did not witness any thing about what your saying.
It depends on which upscale community (area) you are in. I have lived in Southern California for 34 years.
I am not saying what u said is not true I am saying I have not experience that type of people and I stated in Redwood City, California and that is Southern California.

Thats how i is for me now but I do wave to my neighbor and speak when they are around.

I travel often thats a first for me to here yo don't know anyone how long have you bee living there.
