I do have Bleeding Heart and many Hostas; need to be dividing mine up. I would love to try fern; thanks!
We have a Deer prbolem so I use deer esistant plants in my yard. Tulips are a fav of deer but Tall Bearded Iris and Daffodils they do not like. I alsu put those windmills that children play with in my gardens. Deer do not like the shiny and sound
Good and bad too, lol, hope you still get to gaze upon the deer! I loved when I lived where deer were close by but I had no serious interest in flowers then.

I also have a deer problem. I foud that they do not like Daffodils too much so I planted them in between my Hostas, which they love to munch on. I also panted Daffodils with my Tulips as the deer think that the tulips are lollipops.
Yes I am getting into the herbs too. My rosemary was doing so great and becoming hedges for me when it suddenly died out but I have more planted now and dill is another favorite with lavender.
