I have a hot spot underneath trees but the afternoon provides full sun for over 5 hours. Seeking suggestions from seasoned gardeners.
Peonies for spring/early summer- but not too close to the trees or they will compete with the tree for the nutrients. Echinacea for summer/late summer Just two of many. Have fun planting!
I like Salvia for best results for full sun and hot conditions. Also, Mexican Petunia but this can be invasive, so be ready to pull if you do not want full cover.
i like bowles' mauve - it's easy to care for...i'm on the west coast of Canada - it grows quite well here in full sun. it may be drought tolerant as well - i can't remember
I love Black Eyed Susans, Coneflowers and Monarda (Bee Balm). They are all easy to care for - just need water!
