Suede Walls - Are They Still In? Anyone done this?

Several years ago I had a couple of walls in my home painted in a texture similar to suede - is this still in vogue?  Anyone try this painting technique?

I think it would depend on the expression you want the area to have...like if you had a flowing effect or something along those lines. You should also consider color morphing as well.I'm just really learning this stuff so take it for what it's worth,

I did it a few years ago in my (then) teen daughter's bedroom. I wanted to give her something soft and comforting yet still hip and trendy. I did the walls in a chocolate-brown suede finish (thanks to Ralph Lauren's line of textured paints.) Furniture was white. Fabrics and accessories were chocolate, deep pink, turquoise and lime. The room came out fabulous!

Oh, that sounds fabulous!  Thank you!

My former office was brown suede and I had forgotten how soothing that was.  I will check out Ralph Lauren textures - thank you very much!
