Kid's Room Decorating Ideas

Kid's Room Decorating Ideas

Because the rooms of our kids should be warm and at the same time a space for play and creative and cultural works, we give you 9 ideas for the decoration, design and organization of a kid's room.

Idea #1. To help your kid being organized, keep things within reach. The storage cabinet, countertops and shelves, will be used more frequently if the kid can reach it easily.

Idea #2. Create a corner of art, using wainscoting and paint the wall with a fun painting.

Idea #3. Most craft stores sell an additive that allows the ink glow in the dark. Paint a moon and stars on the ceiling of your kid's room or a landscape around the edge of the walls. This will animate them and encourages them to turn off the light at night.

Idea #4. Removable wall transfers are becoming increasingly affordable and the variety of patterns and styles is growing every day. Call them temporary tattoos of the wall and let your kid have fun decorating the room.

Idea #5. Kids are collectors, so make the act of collecting easy. Photos and postcards not always have to be tied to a corkboard. Try hanging them from strings in front of a window, or put them in sequence along the wall to create an edge in an interactive room.

Idea #6. All the kids want space to write and draw. The galvanized metal is fairly inexpensive and can be bought in sheets at most stores. Simply attach to the wall and you have a magnetic card instantly.

Idea #7. Instead of a traditional growth chart, put a border around the room. Each month you can use water-based paint, non toxic, to put the kid's hand on that edge and watch the growth of your kid.

Idea #8. Be sure to include various types of lighting in the bedroom of a kid. The global illumination is a necessity, as well as a reading light.

  Idea #9.
If you are painting a dresser or other furniture that will last who knows how long, call the kid to help you in this task. The kid can put his signature with hand prints or fingerprints.
