Swimming Pool Cleaning Equipment

Swimming Pool Cleaning Equipment

The treatment and maintenance of the swimming pool water is essential, without which it easily turns into something repulsive instead of inviting. The chemical treatment of water preventing algae and the filters are, therefore, the most important issues with regard to the care of the swimming pool.

Now the first step to prevent any kind of problems you might have is cleaning the pool. And for that, there is a fundamental swimming pool cleaning equipment.

Telescopic handle

This will be the basis of all work. The telescopic handle is available in various materials (mainly aluminum and fiberglass, the latter being the most recommended), and consists of an extensible stick that doubles its size base.

Thus, a stick with 2.5 meters can be increased up to 5 meters, the ideal size for you will depend on the size of your pool, but the length will be sufficient for the vast majority of domestic swimming pools.

This is the cable that will fit most accessories for different types of cleaning that has to be made.

Net for leaves

This is probably the instrument that you will use most frequently in all the maintenance work and cleaning the pool.

As you can see the chronological map of the task in hand, cleaning the surface of the water should be done daily, and therefore, need the net for the leaves.

This accessory consists of an aluminum frame coated with plastics or rubber, which fits on a net, in some cases fixing other replaceable in case of damage.

This net can be fabric, plastic or metal mesh stainless: even the most expensive of the three, for their longevity and resistance is the net that we recommend - it is an investment for the future.

The leaves net fit into the telescopic handle, and should use it to collect larger dirt to the water surface.

Brush

The brush can be explained by itself: it is the accessory that also fit the telescopic stick and you should use to brush the pool walls.

Elements such as dirt, limestone and even pool algae accumulate on the walls, and if not removed can definitely affect not only the aesthetics of the structure, but also boost infestations.

These brushes are usually rectangular with variable measures (from 15 to 50cm). Some still have curved ends, facilitating the use in the corners of the pool.

Aspirator

The principle is exactly the same as at home: it is vacuuming the dirt that settled on the ground, like a carpet. There are different types of vacuum cleaners, among which are increasingly popular automated robots: just have to let them do their work without any effort on your part.

Moreover, and not diminishing the effectiveness of these robots, manual work is a guarantee of unsurpassed quality, and given the low cost of vacuum (in contrast to the considerable cost of the alternative machines), this maybe a good option.

Fitting the telescopic stick is connected directly to the filtration system through a hose itself: an end in itself and the other connected to the vacuum skimmer. Thus, the dirt will be sucked directly taken to the filter, in accordance with the normal course of water.

In order to glide smoothly through the bottom, without creating friction or even risks, vacuum cleaners are equipped with a set of brushes (which liberate the toughest dirt) and small pulleys.

In terms of appearance, are quite similar to brush the wall, but more flexible.

Brush and soap for tiles

One area that you should give a special attention is the waterline, usually tiled. To clean them you will need to brush and soap, specific to this type of material: to acquire them in a specialty store, make sure they are suitable for tiled pools.

The brush for tiles also apply in the stick, usually making an angle of 90 degrees to minimize your effort. At the same time you can brush directly on your knees, although it is a considerable effort, increases the quality of work.

It will be important to brush above and below the waterline, in all the tiles, since, with evaporation and replacement of water level, this is quite fickle.
