Getting rid of Cellulite
Cellulite is a term that describes the appearance of bumpy looking fat on the body. It is a condition of bulging fat cells and other coexisting factors that result in the appearance of cellulite. Cellulite can affect men and women of any body weight or size. Cellulite is a series of ripples of fat cells and subcutaneous connective tissue under the skin. Usually found on the thighs and butt, especially in women, it has a characteristic 'orange peel' appearance
Cellulite is fat that is deposited in pockets just below the surface of the skin. It occurs around the hips, thighs, and buttocks. Cellulite is the result of excess body fat, and as such, usually collects in high-fat areas of your body, such as the butt, thighs, and stomach. Because women generally have a higher amount of (healty and unhealthy) body fat than men, women tend to have a higher occurence of cellulite. Cellulite is caused by fat cells pushing through the collagen connective tissue directly beneath the skin's surface, causing a dimpled appearance. The appearance of cellulite is not related to the amount of body fat an individual has and is prevalent even in healthy and underweight people.
Cellulite causes many image problems and for many women this is a reason to cover up on the beach, not to wear short skirts or shorts. Unfortunately exercises and dieting alone will not help you to get rid of cellulite and any women with any type of body can have it. Cellulite is a nuisance for many women and you can find it on the thighs, buttocks and abdominal areas of postadolescent women. Despite the multitude of products and treatments that promise to get rid of this stubborn skin nuisance, it still exists and is not clearly understood.
Cellulite has nothing to do with being overweight, slim women as well as overweight ones can be affected. In fact, many slim women have cellulite. Cellulite tends to be a little bit less noticeable on darker skin. Cellulite is not a sign of physical disease. In terms of our health, it's harmless.
Cellulite can continue to develop as we age. The primary function of treatment is to improve the appearance of cellulite by enhancing skin tone, tightening skin, and promoting lymphatic drainage.
